questiuon is if the jumping performance from 8600GTS across several games is due to drivers or bad architecture in 8600GTS.

Sometimes 8600GTS run up to 7950GT,sometimes slower then 7900GS.This really huge difference not seen with other cards.

Hard to tell now and I would wait with buying this card.To be honest NVIDIA even didnt make the drivers for 8800 series working properly apposite to 7xxx series.If someone interested ATI X1950GT has much better performance for less money.Only drawback is missing DX10 support.

BTW I am 7900GT owner

LFS does only 16bit for skys and thats the issue.I have been already reading that in past from Kidcodea and Don.We might ask Scawen why is like that and if this could be fixed.

So even the files are in 32bit format the banding in pictures is casued by LFS doing only 16bit rendrening to skys.

Would be worht toi FIX it before the final S2 but I guess Scawen is now very busy with the new test patches and features he want to add like balancing cars and other nice multiplayer improvements.And you know his favourite quote that LFS is not screenshot generator.I can agree it shouldnt be happening nowdays and might be sometimes annoying.

This issue is not related to your graphic hardware thought might be more visible on some LCDs which use only 6bit colours(its 3*6bit for RGB) or on LCD with 6bit+RFC. Almost all LCD currently cant display all colours range as CRT monitors.Its "small" drawback with LCD technology.

I know quite good when there is no car in front me only track is renders but still something is rendered.I am not such a noob ....

Still the LFS cars has not so much polygons to make such a drop.And DROP is still huge even you saying the opposite.Its not about the "ms" staff you are talking about.60 percent drop with track+just 1 more car looks really odd and huge drop to me.When I am in 3rd car the drop is not so huge....etc.The drop seems very non-linear.I only saw this with games badly optimised in 3D engine. LFS seems overally very effective but sometimes these drops doesnt make really sense to me on very powerfull machines.

I really dont want to steal this thread by this 3D stuff so this is my last post regarding this but as I said something looks probably "wrong". I could make testing with examples if needed.

Overally I would like to thx Scawen for this patch.Looks realy promising in the multiplayer area and the clutch thing as well.I am looking forward for the next updates...

I would a bit disagree or there could some discussion.I sometimes feel - well I see it on my screen .Just tried yesterday to put 16AI on track.When the cars where driving on track and almost all AI were close to each other, I had from wheel view with 1st car around 250 FPS when game was paused(I guess when game is paused physic calculations are not happening) and with 2nd car I had around 150 FPS. Its not about I have this huge FPS and I am complaing but I think this "bug" affect huge grid start FPS drop or where there are many cars around.If my assume is right that when the games is paused that physic calculation is not done then it has nothing to do with CPU power.

It doesnt not make sense to me that with only 1 car drowed before me the FPS drop is so huge.I see this behavious in LFS 3D engine very often and it give a HUGE question why this is happening.Something wrong with utilising Vertex engine in some cases? I would like to really know the answer to it and if from Scawen this could be even better.

If this could be "fixed" somehow then we could have some nice FPS boost especially at grid start with many cars.Maybe if Scawen could try NVPerfKit for vertex peformance? I wanted to try it myself just for curiosity on LFS but LFS is not DX8.1 which is the minimal requirements.Its just DX8.

I think my PC spec are good so this should not happening.

wouldnt be better to start using temporary ban(lets say 2-3weeks - decision can be made later)for S2 cheaters? I am not accusing anyone currently but it would fix many problems.

People would be thinking in advance if the temporary ban is really worth this cheating.There would be less people "hunters" around and I would think the comunity or some part of comunity would be less frustrated and this all would really calm down.

Per the licence rules you would have the rights doing this.

Being it random I would be pretty frustrated to get this and other would get easily unfair advantage.

In real life such a leaks affect more things like good engineers working on the car,good/bad mechanics,quality/poor quality materials and there is a lot more ofcourse.This all is usually quite different for every racing team/racing car in real racing so how you would really want to simulate this.I see it for many years still not possible.

Hehe.....it really doesnt work that way that you can count together two 12V rails.
The independent +12V rails are now used as the CPU nowdays use quite a lot of power as well the graphic cards so its better to run them on seperate rails.It should make the system more stable.

I didnt recomend him some overprized PSU or the one which is more then he would really need.Sometimes you can use the PSU later as well as I did with my last one sometimes unfortunatelly not like in his case.Its better to think in advance in some situations.

Anyway your PSU seems tobe quite good.He could difenately use that one as well.It just depend how much is it cheaper then the one I recomended.

Is that problem that you cant ping the server and as well you cant connet to the master to get the game list or the problem for some of you is just that you cant ping the master server?

If so,why is that a problem.As I said it has a reason that some servers on net dont reply to ping by answer.

Its wonderfull....I got 700+ KB/sec speed download from this server against the previous 40-50KB/sec.Thats really massive improvement.

I have some feeling this online cheating has now getting out of the controll somehow when it is possible even in S2 online.I think Scawen must be feeling very frustrated as people are starting complaing about it more and more and he might have some problems fix it.

I am more then happy he doesnt do his regular development but spend time on this ****ing cheating.Yes I have used this word because I am really frustrated as well.

I wanted to go online again after some time but in this situation when someone can silently cheat I have now no reason for this anymore unless this wil be fixed.I dont want to loose against some "kids" screaming before their screens how so good they are with this cheat.Thanks to all you have invent it and use it.
